1. How often should tile and stone floors be professionally cleaned?

For most homes, professional deep cleaning is recommended every 12–24 months, depending on foot traffic and usage. Kitchens, hallways, and commercial spaces may need cleaning more frequently due to heavier wear and dirt build-up.

2. Why doesn’t regular mopping keep my floors clean?

Mopping only removes surface dirt. Over time, grime, cleaning residues, and spills become trapped in the pores of stone and grout. Professional deep cleaning removes this ingrained contamination that household cleaning cannot reach.

3. Can you remove stains from natural stone?

In many cases, yes. We use specialist treatments and poultice methods to draw out deep stains. However, some stains that have penetrated deeply or chemically altered the stone may be reduced rather than completely removed. We always assess this during inspection.

4. What types of stone do you clean and restore?

We work with a wide range of natural and man-made materials, including:

  • Marble

  • Granite

  • Limestone

  • Travertine

  • Slate

  • Porcelain and ceramic tiles

  • Artificial stone surfaces

5. Will the cleaning process damage my tiles or stone?

No. We use stone-safe, professional-grade products and equipment suited to your specific surface. Different stones require different treatments, and our experience ensures the correct methods are used to avoid damage.

6. Do you seal floors after cleaning?

Yes, sealing is a key part of our service. After deep cleaning and once the surface is dry, we apply a high-quality impregnating sealer to help protect against staining and moisture penetration while making future cleaning easier.

7. How long does the sealer last?

Sealant longevity depends on usage and cleaning habits, but typically lasts 2–5 years on floors. High-traffic areas may require more frequent reapplication.

8. How long does the cleaning process take?

This depends on the size of the area and the condition of the floor. Most residential jobs take one day, while larger or heavily soiled areas may take longer. We’ll give you a time estimate during your quote.

9. How soon can we walk on the floor after cleaning?

Light foot traffic is usually possible within a few hours. If sealing is carried out, we recommend avoiding heavy use for 24 hours to allow proper curing.

10. Can you restore dull or scratched stone floors?

Yes. We offer honing, polishing, and grinding services to remove scratches, etching, and wear. This can restore the stone’s original finish — from a smooth satin look to a high-gloss shine.

11. Do you clean grout as well?

Absolutely. Grout is porous and often holds more dirt than the tiles themselves. We deep clean grout lines and can also provide re-grouting, repairs, and colour sealing for a fresh, uniform appearance.

12. Are your services suitable for commercial properties?

Yes, we work with both domestic and commercial clients across Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk, and Kent, including offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and rental properties.

13. Do you offer free quotes?

Yes — we provide FREE, no-obligation inspections and quotes so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.
